An ex-warehouse employee who posed as a teenage boy online to groom and sexually abuse three young girls has been jailed.

Ruhel Miah, 48, pleaded guilty to 15 counts related to child sexual abuse, inciting a child into sexual activity and sexual communication with a child and was sentenced to 10 years at Wolverhampton Crown Court today (5 September).

An investigation by West Midlands police and subsequent prosecution review revealed that Miah posed as 15-year-old boy to groom three young girls through the social media platform Snapchat.

A man who used drugs, coercion and violence to exploit two teen girls in Manchester 20 years ago, has been jailed. 

Christopher Oates, 45, was prosecuted by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) following an investigation by Greater Manchester Police (GMP).

He has been sentenced today (26 June 2025) to 13 years and one month imprisonment at Manchester Crown Square Crown Court. 

A man has been jailed for murdering his wife in front of their baby in a pram while out in the streets of Bradford.

Habibur Rahman Masum, 26, of Burnley, Lancashire has been sentenced to life imprisonment to serve a minimum of 28 years at Bradford Crown Court today (22 July 2025) for murder, one count of assault, one count of making threats to kill and another count of stalking.
