Director of Public Prosecutions Max Hill QC said:

“This funding will help us look beyond savings and to tackle the significant challenges we face head-on, while also supporting us to better understand and meet victims’ needs. 

“We want to build confidence that cases involving serious sexual offences will be handled effectively and this investment will support our ambition to reverse the stark decline in rape prosecutions.
