The Media Protocol has been jointly developed and agreed by the key agencies involved, namely the Crown Prosecution Service, National Police Chiefs’ Council, the College of Policing, and representatives from the Crime Reporters Association, Media Lawyers Association, News Media Association and Society of Editors.
