His Majesty’s Crown Prosecution Service Inspectorate (HMCPSI) has today published its composite report following Phase 3 of the Area Inspection Programme (AIP3), which provides a high-level comparative analysis of the two individual Area reports which were published in September 2025 (Yorkshire & Humberside) and January 2026 (Cymru Wales).

The individual Areas have already committed to building on the strengths identified from their own reports and to address elements for further development.

The findings of this composite report will support our ongoing work to ensure good practice is adopted across CPS Areas.
