Health care worker jailed for sexually assaulting patients
A health care worker who sexually assaulted two patients during medical examinations has been jailed at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court.
Ieuan Crump, 27, assaulted the women on separate occasions while he was working at the Grange Hospital in Cwmbrân. The assaults happened while Crump was conducting scans and examinations as part of his role.
Crump denied the allegations but a jury, having heard all the evidence, convicted him of nine offences of sexual assault.
Michael Jenkin of the Crown Prosecution Service said: “Ieuan Crump exploited his position of power over two women when they were at their most vulnerable, for his own sexual gratification.
“His actions were an extreme breach of trust which was calculated and deliberate.
“The courage shown by the two women in giving their evidence to the jury allowed the Crown Prosecution Service to present a strong case, resulting in these convictions, and we thank them for their support.”
Ieuan Crump was sentenced on 18 December 2025 to nine years’ imprisonment and was ordered to register as a sex offender. A Sexual Harm Prevention Order was also imposed along with two indefinite restraining orders.
