A police officer who drove through a red light at speed while responding to a 999 call has been found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving, after the death of motorcyclist Ronald Pinkney, 77.
Her Majesty's Crown Prosecution Service Inspectorate (HMCPSI) has today (9 March 2021) issued a report following their Inspection of the CPS Response to the Covid-19 pandemic - dealing with the on-going backlogs. The report is a follow up to the June publication of the HMCPSI Inspection of the effectiveness of the CPS response to the coronavirus pandemic prior to and during the period of national lockdown.
A teenager who murdered his mother, brother and sister has been jailed for life. Nicholas Prosper, who had also planned to carry out a school shooting, will serve a minimum of 49 years in prison.
