Olivia
Business Centre Support Manager and Disability Ambassador
“Being a disability ambassador within the CPS has really shown me the value of cultivating an inclusive workplace where disabled staff receive the support they need. Inclusivity isn't just about meeting legal obligations and receiving accreditations ; it's about recognising the unique perspectives and talents we can bring to further enrich the CPS. I am proud to work for a ‘Disability Confident Leader’ organisation.”

Lou
Administrative Officer
"I was diagnosed with dyslexia at university. I wasn't sure that the CPS would have something like Dragon software, but I thought, let me just ask and find out! Reaching out to the team, they pointed out the speech to text software as well as Dragon. I feel like people are often hesitant to come forward for help because they don't want to be seen as different but I think what makes us different can also be our super power!"

Kate
Chief Crown Prosecutor and Disability Champion
"The CPS prides itself on being diverse and inclusive. I have seen first-hand the impact the CPS has made when supporting staff with physical and non-visible disabilities."
Home to a thriving Disability Staff Network
"The Disabled Staff Network (DSN) is a national CPS body representing staff with disabilities, long-term health issues, or who are neurodivergent.
"The network's main aim is to promote equality of opportunity for the people it represents within the CPS , which in turn supports the organisation. The DSN works to ensure that it is the abilities of each of us that are recognised, rather than our individual differences. " - Samantha and Olive, Co-Chairs of the DSN.
