This policy statement articulates how the CPS tackles domestic abuse and our commitment to doing so. It sets out our ambition to increase the volume of domestic abuse prosecutions and improve criminal justice outcomes for victims whilst focusing on casework quality.

The CPS has published a Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Strategy for 2017-2020 providing a framework outlining the approach taken to these crimes.
