A group of men who diverted electricity to supply cannabis farms run by organised crime gangs have been jailed for more than 28 years.

A man who preyed on people in the Canal Street area of Manchester, known as the ‘gay village’, has been found guilty of raping two men and one woman in a series of attacks.

The purpose of this document is to provide practical and legal guidance to prosecutors dealing with cases that involve children (Article 1 of the UN Convention defines a child as any person who has not yet reached their 18th birthday) as victims and witnesses.

Four men have been sentenced today (Friday 7 March 2025) in relation to a £266 million money laundering operation.
