Victims' Right to Review data

The Victims' Right to Review (VRR) Scheme was first launched in June 2013 and details of the final scheme are on this site. Between 1 April 2016 and 31 March 2017, the CPS reviewed 1,988 cases and decisions in 1,851 of those cases were found to be the right one. In total, 137 decisions have been overturned, which accounts for 0.13% of all qualifying decisions finalised in the period. A breakdown of the reviews by offence category is available below.
