Stephen Bear (15.01.1990) has been sentenced to 16 months in prison today for repeatedly breaching a restraining order by posting about Georgia Harrison MBE on social media.

Between March and July 2025, Bear repeatedly posted about Ms Harrison on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X and YouTube, despite a restraining order that expressly prohibited him from doing so.

The posts formed part of a campaign of vitriol in which he made degrading comments about Ms Harrison and encouraged others to comment about her.

The five-year restraining order was imposed in 2023 after Bear was found guilty of disclosing private sexual photographs and films of Ms Harrison with intent to cause distress, and voyeurism. He also received a 21-month prison sentence for his crimes.

In screenshots and screen recordings provided by Ms Harrison to police as evidence, Bear made a series of accusations and degrading comments about her. He sought to cast doubt on his convictions, including by alleging that Ms Harrison and her mother had conspired to pervert the course of justice. 

Bear also created an online petition seeking support for a retrial and attempting to obtain Ms Harrison’s bank statements. He persisted with posting despite several of his accounts being shut down due to their content.

Senior Crown Prosecutor Andrew Young said: “Restraining orders are imposed by the courts to protect victims. Breaching them is a criminal offence which we will not hesitate to prosecute with the full force of the law.

“Over several months, Stephen Bear launched a campaign of abuse against Georgia Harrison MBE on his social media channels. He used his platforms to amplify abuse and encourage others to target her, despite being expressly prohibited from doing so.

“No woman should be made to live in fear because someone refuses to accept the restrictions placed on them by a court. Stephen Bear may have hidden behind a screen, but his actions had real-world consequences.

“The CPS will always seek to prosecute those who threaten, harass or intimidate women and girls, whether that behaviour takes place in person or online.”
