Man convicted of sending grossly offensive messages

A man has been convicted at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court today of sending grossly offensive messages which are hate crimes.

Gareth Bradley, 36, sent messages which included antisemitic language, anti-Muslim language and also anti-Christian language.

He pleaded guilty to five offences of sending a communication via a public communications network that were grossly offensive or menacing. 

Rebecca Foster of the Crown Prosecution Service said: ““Hate crime is truly abhorrent and has a significant detrimental impact on victims and the wider community.

“The CPS is committed to tackling hate crime and is working closely with the police and our partners across the criminal justice system to bring offenders to justice whenever our legal test is met.”

The court ordered pre-sentence reports on Gareth Bradley and adjourned the case for sentence.
