- The number of domestic violence prosecutions carried out by the CPS in Barrow for the year 2024.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has interpreted your request as to pertaining to Barrow-in-Furness which is part of the Cumbria Police Force Area.
We can confirm that the CPS does record and collate data falling withing the scope of your request and we attach for your reference an excel spreadsheet labelled ‘13542 DATA’. The caveats appended to that data should be noted when considering the disclosure.
By way of assistance the data set shows overall completed prosecutions for the Cumbria Police Force Area that were flagged as domestic abuse cases. The data is also broken down into monthly totals as requested. Please note that the data provided does not necessarily mean that all these prosecutions originated or were subsequently dealt with in Barrow courts.
