I am writing to request information on all costs linked to all cases of involving Axel Rudakubana, including any outstanding costs.
Please break this data down by case and, if possible, the source of each cost.
Response
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) can confirm that as of 15 April 2025 the total trial costs stand at £36,247.80 inclusive of Magistrates' hearings. Further costs are anticipated.
The CPS does not record time spent by internal lawyers, paralegals and administrative staff on a case-by-case basis and therefore cannot calculate the full prosecution costs in the case. The above figure accounts for counsel and presentational fees incurred only.
