During the visit, the Chief Inspector heard about the challenges the Area continued to face, as well as the strong partnership working with key stakeholders and partners, to overcome these and improve the quality and delivery of justice across the Area.

The staff focus group discussions provided an opportunity for the Chief Inspector to explore some of the root causes of the ongoing criminal justice challenges and the solutions and actions being taken to tackle these.

A floor-walk across the various Units provided the Chief Inspector with an opportunity to say a personal thank you to staff in person for their hard work, dedication and commitment to delivering justice in very challenging circumstances.
