The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has today updated its guidance to prosecutors to encourage them to consider the full range of available offences when charging assaults against emergency workers.

The CPS has begun work to review CPS prosecution fee schemes. This update is intended to set out the scope of the work, and give an indication of expected timing.
