“This year, Swansea Crown Court tested digital jury bundles where jurors are presented with the evidence digitally. We were the first team in England and Wales to take part in a pilot of this kind!
“This involved training our staff and working closely with judges, barristers and other court users. We became the experts, and we are really proud of the pivotal part we played.
“I realised our work mattered at the first trial where digital jury bundles were used – the meetings we’d had, the work we’d done to liaise with partners and all the things we’d learnt really came into practice.
“As a team, we provided feedback at every stage and took part in evaluation of the project. Pilots like ours help to test what works and what doesn’t before it’s considered for a wider roll out. I’m proud that the work we did is helping to test innovative ideas across the justice system.”
