Furniture reuse and circular economy

CPS continued applying circular economy principles through furniture reuse and recycling activity during 2025-26. Surplus desks, chairs storage units and electrical equipment were redistributed internally and externally, diverting approximately 6 tonnes of waste from landfill and avoiding an estimated 20 tonnes of carbon emissions. This demonstrates how practical operational decisions can support both waste reduction and value for money.
