Shaping the CPS’ response to Violence Against Women and Girls
Case study from Policy Directorate
Policy Advisor
“My team launched the Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy – setting the direction for the CPS’ response to VAWG for the next five years. One of our priorities was that the strategy reflected the reality of these complex, often devasting types of crime.
So, we spoke to everyone we could – from victim advocate groups and academics to police and of course CPS colleagues. The result is a strategy that I believe reflects the people it’s there to serve. I’m really proud of it, and it’s amazing to see the work we’ve promised to deliver under it already starting to come to fruition.”
