Nicola Wyn Williams of the Complex Casework Unit of CPS Mersey-Cheshire said: “Christopher Guest More (Jnr), 42, has today (31 March 2020) appeared before Chester Crown Court in connection with a number of serious offences, including murder, following the torture and killing of Brian Waters in Cheshire on 19 June 2003.

“The charges will be formally put to Christopher Guest More (Jnr) at a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing on 1 June 2020 when he will be expected to enter a plea.

“If he pleads Not Guilty, a trial will be held from 15 March 2021 and is expected to take around four weeks.

“The Crown Prosecution Service reminds all concerned that criminal proceedings against Christopher Guest More (Jnr) are now active and that he has a right to a fair trial. It is extremely important that there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in any way prejudice these proceedings.”
