The Magistrates Court team prosecutes cases at Derby, Buxton and Chesterfield.

More serious criminal cases are heard in the Crown Court, usually in Derby but sometimes in neighbouring courts, and are covered by the Crown Court team.

Derbyshire cases are managed at the northern office, which is in Nottingham.
