General Instructions to Crown Prosecution Service Associate Prosecutors, pursuant to Section 7A(3) and (4) of the Prosecution of Offences Act 1985

Issued by the Director of Public Prosecutions under the provisions of section 37A of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984

Murder and manslaughter are two of the offences that constitute homicide.

This guidance sets out the CPS policy on the prosecution of immigration offences.

The CPS is committed to ensuring that the special considerations which apply to cases involving a young offender are enshrined in its working practices and form part of the training of its prosecutors.

The provisions relating to the CBO are in Part 11, Chapter 1 of the Sentencing Act 2020 (the "Act"). The provisions came into force on 1 December 2020.
