These functions are delivered through the following Directorates and Divisions:

Following a review, the Casework Directorate, which dealt with organised crime, terrorist cases and other specialist cases, was replaced with three central divisions. Based in Headquarters, the three central divisions are: Counter-Terrorism Division, Organised Crime Division, and Special Crime Division. These Divisions conduct prosecutions generated by the Serious Organised Crime Agency [SOCA], together with those categories of case that will continue to be handled centrally, following the devolution of some types of work to the CPS Areas. The Heads of the divisions are directly accountable to the Director.
