Incident in Brudenell Road Leeds: Three to appear in Court
The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised West Yorkshire Police to issue a summons against Mohammed Khalil Anwar in connection with an incident in Brudenell Road, Leeds on 18 August 2012 in which two young children were seriously injured. Two other men, Mohammad Jamil Anwar and Raja Ansar Khan have, been charged with perverting the course of justice in connection with the same incident.
Michael Quinn, Senior District Crown Prosecutor, CPS Yorkshire and Humberside said:
"West Yorkshire Police have been authorised to issue a summons against Mohammad Khalil Anwar. He will appear at Leeds Magistrates Court on 20 March 2013 to be charged with possession of a controlled drug, perverting the course of justice, dangerous driving, failure to stop and failure to report an accident.
"Mohammad Jamil Anwar and Raja Ansar Khan have been charged with perverting the course of justice in relation to the same incident. They will appear at Leeds Magistrates Court on the same date."
