Humberside man charged in connection with sale of holiday homes at Lakeminster Park

CPS Yorkshire and Humberside has today announced that William Flannigan has been charged with ten counts of fraud by misrepresentation in connection with park homes restricted to holiday use only being sold as homes for year-round residence at Lakeminster Park, near Beverley, East Yorkshire.

Malcolm Taylor, Reviewing Lawyer, CPS Yorkshire and Humberside Complex Casework Unit, said:

"The Crown Prosecution Service has been working closely with Humberside Police in connection with the sale of properties at Lakeminster Park, near Beverley.

"Having carefully considered all of the evidence presented to us by Humberside Police, we have concluded that there is sufficient evidence to charge this defendant with ten charges of fraud by misrepresentation and that it is in the public interest to do so. The defendant will first appear at Beverley Magistrates' Court on 9 July.

"This defendant now stands charged with serious criminal offences and has the right to a fair trial. It is extremely important that there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in any way prejudice these proceedings."
