West Midlands Area Operations Centre
The CPS has 13 Areas across England and Wales, each headed by a Chief Crown Prosecutor and supported by a Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor. The West Midlands Area is supported by an Area Operations Centre which houses a team of specialists in the field of business support services.
The West Midlands Area Operations Centre has been set up to assist each of the CPS prosecution Sectors within the West Midlands:
- Northern EasternSouthern Central Complex Casework Unit We provide advice and guidance to our staff as well as staff from local government agencies and the general public.
Our goal is to maximise all possible benefits in terms of business delivery and performance in the light of the tightening budgetary constraints and to become a centre of excellence.
Who are we and what do we do?
We provide expert support in finance, performance, HR, leadership and learning and facilities management.
Lisa Burrows, Finance Manager
Lisa administers a budget of £38.5 million and ensures that efficiencies are identified to enable the Area to remain within ever challenging budget restraints.
Rob Rogers, Quality Assurance Manager
As Quality Assurance Manager, his role is to ensure the processes we have in place meet or exceed the business needs of the Area. Through robust assurance checks and measures we can endorse and support the integrity of our performance data, realise efficiencies and deliver a corporate and professional service to the public we serve.
Parveen Hassan, Equality, Diversity and Community Engagement Manager
Parveen is the Equality, Diversity and Community Engagement Manager. She is responsible for overseeing Community Engagement Assessments; Hate Crime Scrutiny Panels and Community Involvement Panels. She monitors the strategic performance on equality, diversity and community engagement across the Area and puts in place strategies to improve public confidence amongst the communities we serve.
Jenny Jones, Human Resources Advisor
As the Human Resources Advisor, it is her role to deliver customer focused expert advice across the full range of human resources functions across the West Midlands. This includes interpreting all CPS HR policies in order to support managers in their practical implementation.
