Anthony Hall sentenced to life for murder


Anthony Hall has today been jailed for life, to serve a minimum of 21 years, at Birmingham Crown Court after he was found guilty of the murder of a 57-year-old woman whose body was found in her flat in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.

The 47-year-old defendant had befriended Rhoda Yousen and he would occasional stay with her in her flat.

On Saturday 24 November 2012, police forced entry into the victim's flat after they had received reports of Anthony Hall informing members  of the public that he had killed someone. They found the body of Ms Yousen was found in her bedroom with serve injuries to her head. 

Hall was arrested and charged with her murder.

"We have worked closely with Warwickshire Police throughout this case, from the giving of initial advice to the police, through the preparation of the case papers, to the presentation of the case in court.

"This was a tragic case, involving a vicious attack .Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Rhoda Yousen and we extend our sympathies towards them."
