Work Experience 

The CPS is actively involved in the government's "Get Britain Working" work placement initiative. We have pledged to offer 200 two week work experience placements to young people aged 18 - 24 on jobseekers allowance.

The programme will be piloted in CPS West Midlands with full roll out across the CPS planned for April 2012, to be completed by March 2013.

Throughout the period of this programme these work experience placements must take priority.

We have an important part to play in increasing these young people's chances of obtaining paid employment. By inviting them into the CPS we can provide opportunities enabling them to develop key work related skills and gain an insight into working life. Most importantly we can make a tangible impact in helping them make their first step towards finding a job.

 We do not offer mini-pupillages, internships, voluntary work or job shadowing of lawyers.
