Neighbour From Hell Sentenced For Breaching ASBO

The Crown Prosecution Service takes all forms of anti social behaviour seriously.

The Crown Prosecution Service takes all forms of anti social behaviour seriously. When appropriate, the CPS will prosecute those people who fail to comply with the terms of court orders imposed to prevent such behaviour.

CPS West Yorkshire hopes that this successful prosecution will bring to an end the issues stemming from Bottomley Farm.

Notes to editors

1. Jeanne Wilding is 57 years of age and has no previous convictions.

2. Wilding moved to the hamlet of Bottomley in 2002.

3. Over the next four years Wilding's neighbours made a catalogue of complaints against her, which resulted in Calderdale Council obtaining an Anti Social Behaviour Order against her on 18 May 2006.

4. Wilding lost her appeal against the imposition of the Order in September 2007

5. Wilding appeared before Calderdale magistrates' on 29 June 2006 as a result of breaching the ASBO obtained on 18 may 2006.

6. Wilding indicated acceptable pleas to the Crown Prosecution Service on 24 October 2007. She pleaded guilty to 4 counts of breaching her ASBO. The remaining breaches will lay on file.
