CPS At Your Fingertips

Prosecutors have taken the fight against crime into medical centres, Citizens Advice Bureaus, libraries, community centres and local government offices across West Yorkshire.
CPS West Yorkshire has sent out thousands of leaflets about its work over the past year to organisations and institutions across the county.
The leaflet 'The CPS in West Yorkshire and You' details our work in the county courts over the past year. It also has information on our local offices, work in the community, our support for victims and witnesses of crime and work to tackle hate crime in all its forms. Updates on our work can be found on the CPS West Yorkshire website at: www.cps.gov.uk/west_yorkshire/
CPS West Yorkshire is keen for as many people as possible to read the leaflets as CPS West Yorkshire is committed to tackling crime and the fear of crime in the community.
Neil Franklin, Chief Crown Prosecutor for CPS West Yorkshire said: "We hope that by explaining more about how we work we can encourage more people to report incidents of hate crime, whether this is racial, religious, homophobic transsexual or domestic abuse.
"We want people to know that we are committed to pursuing prosecutions for hate crimes and that victims will be supported throughout that process".
