Bradford Dealer Sentenced, Confiscation of Assets to Follow

05/06/2008

Donald Foster (44) was sentenced at Bradford Crown Court today for supplying class A drugs, and for the offences of acquiring, possessing and converting criminal property under the Proceeds of Crime Act, the latter charges reflecting his criminal activity

Michael Quinn, Area Crown Prosecutor for CPS West Yorkshire said:

"The evidence gathered by the police and the strong case built by the prosecution left Foster with little choice but to plead guilty to the charges he faced in relation to his drug dealing.

"Foster has been involved in criminal activity for a number of years and has now been brought to justice. In addition to ensuring that he is sent to prison, the CPS will apply to confiscate all the money and property that he has acquired from his criminal behaviour. The case is further example of the commitment of West Yorkshire police and CPS to ensure that criminals do not get to keep the proceeds of their crimes."
