CPS Announces "Lead Football Prosecutors" to Tackle Football Hooliganism

The creation of lead football prosecutors in all Areas and new instructions on evidence for prosecutors are part of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) and the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) amended Guidance on Football Related Offences.

Donald Foster (44) was sentenced at Bradford Crown Court today for supplying class A drugs, and for the offences of acquiring, possessing and converting criminal property under the Proceeds of Crime Act, the latter charges reflecting his criminal activity

Specialist Domestic Violence Courts for Wakefield and Pontefract

Wakefield Magistrates' Court and Pontefract Magistrates' Court have introduced Specialist Domestic Violence Courts. They are held on Monday mornings at Wakefield and Friday mornings at Pontefract magistrates' courts.

Statement regarding the Death of Gavin Waterhouse

Two male defendants aged 19 and 17 who brutally attacked Gavin Waterhouse in the Keighley area on the 23rd September 2007 pleaded guilty to unlawful act manslaughter. A third defendant a girl aged 15 has today entered a guilty plea to aiding and abetting.
