Achieving Justice for the People of West Yorkshire
Welcome from Neil Franklin, Chief Crown Prosecutor
Welcome to the online home of Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) West Yorkshire.
As Chief Crown Prosecutor I am ultimately responsible for CPS West Yorkshire and ensuring that criminals are prosecuted vigorously, robustly and fairly through the county's courts.
Our aim is to reduce crime and the fear of crime and make West Yorkshire a safer place to live.
In order to do this effectively, we work closely with our partners in the CJS, including the Police, the Courts, Prisons and Youth Offending Teams to bring more offenders to justice and to demonstrate that crime does not pay by confiscating the proceeds of criminal activity.
We are committed to improving the Criminal Justice System for the people of West Yorkshire and I'm delighted that with the launch of our new website we are able to explain more about our work.
I hope you will take the time to visit some of the pages on this site so you can see for yourself how we hope to achieve this.
