Wessex Scrutiny and Involvement Panel - Strategic
In 2008 we created a Community Involvement Panel , which is now called the Wessex Scrutiny and Involvement Panel - Strategic, brings together members of the community from Dorset, Hampshire, Isle of Wight and Wiltshire to discuss all aspects of our work.
The panel members discuss and advise on a variety of subject areas including:
- Victims and witnesses
- Performance
- Business plans
- Community engagement
- Equality and Diversity
By challenging, commenting, criticising where necessary and praising when deserving the panel has supported us in our aim to continually improve our service to the communities we serve.
The panel has had a positive impact suggesting improvements, such as making our business plans more accessible to local communities, and translating victim and witness letters into Polish. It has also identified key opportunities for CPS Wessex to engage with various sections of our communities.
We are actively seeking new panel members to join our panel. Please read the information leaflet in the further information box on the right.
