New CCP for Wiltshire

John Montague has joined CPS Wiltshire as the new Chief Crown Prosecutor replacing Karen Harrold who has taken up a position in London.

John joined the CPS in January 2004 having moved from a defence solicitors in Hampshire.

Prior to taking up this position John was the Senior District Crown Prosecutor responsible for North Hampshire. Prior to this he has been the joint Head of the Criminal Justice Unit in Southampton, followed by a period as Crown Court Unit Head in Dorset. He has been acting as the interim Chief Crown Prosecutor for Wiltshire since early July.

John Montague, Chief Crown Prosecutor said: I am delighted to be appointed into this position. These are exciting times for the Crown Prosecution Service as we become a World Class Prosecuting Authority. I am privileged to be appointed to serve the community of Wiltshire.
