Man found guilty of murdering Hayley Wall

Christopher Wall, 58, from Bournemouth was today found guilty at Winchester Crown Court of the murder of Hayley Wall after she died of head injuries at Southampton General Hospital on 22 December 2016.

Following the verdict, Mary-Ruth Johnson, Senior Crown Prosecutor for the Crown Prosecution Service in Wessex said: "This case is a clear example of extreme domestic abuse which ended in the tragic death of Hayley Wall.

"After hearing the prosecution and defence's cases the jury accepted that during the course of an argument Christopher Wall struck Hayley causing serious head injuries, from which she subsequently died. The jury as a result decided that he was guilty of her murder.

"Our thoughts go out to Hayley Wall’s family at this very difficult time."
