Man charged with the murder of woman found dead in her flat in Bournemouth

Colin Dymond, 52, from Bournemouth was charged today with the murder of Sarah Pollock, 41, who was found dead in her flat in Avon Close, Bournemouth, on March, 25, 2015.

John Montague, Senior District Crown Prosecutor for the Crown Prosecution Service in Wessex, said: "I have authorised Dorset Police to charge Colin Dymond with the murder of Sarah Pollock who was found dead in her flat, in Bournemouth, on March, 25, 2015.

"Concerns were raised when Ms Pollock failed to open the shop at which she was working at the Dolphin Centre in Poole.

"Ms Pollock was found dead as a result of strangulation and severe stab wound to the neck.

"I carefully reviewed all the available evidence provided to me by Dorset Police and in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors. I am satisfied that there is sufficient evidence for a realistic prospect of conviction and it is in the public interest to prosecute Colin Dymond for the murder of Sarah Pollock.

"He will appear at Bournemouth Magistrates' Court on Monday 30 March.

"Proceedings are now ongoing and the defendant has the right to a fair trial. It is very important that there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in any way prejudice these proceedings."
