Man sentenced to ten years’ in prison for a stranger rape in Poole

Thomas Coutts, a 21-year-old man from Poole, was yesterday sentenced to ten years’ imprisonment and five years extended sentence at Bournemouth Crown Court for the rape and assault by penetration of a 20-year-old woman who was unknown to him. Coutts pleaded guilty to rape and sexual assault on the first day of his trial on 4 February at Bournemouth Crown Court.

Polish national jailed for six years for human trafficking

David Siwak, a polish national has today been sentenced at Portsmouth Crown Court to a total of six years’ imprisonment. Siwak was convicted on 28 January 2012 of eight offences of exploiting four Polish workers who were enticed into coming to the United Kingdom to work. He was also convicted of four counts of forcing a person to perform forced labour and four counts of human trafficking.

Southampton man sentenced to 32 years minimum for the murder of Agim Hoxha

Arben Lleshi was found guilty today at Winchester Crown Court of the murder of Agim Hoxha in Southampton last year. Arben Lleshi has been sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 32 years. In addition to this he was found guilty of perverting the course of justice and sentenced to four years imprisonment to run concurrently.

Robert Peter Hughes, a 40-year-old music teacher, from Bath has today been sentenced to 12 years imprisonment at Swindon Crown Court for the sexual assaults on two pupils. The sexual assaults started in 1998 when he was teaching at Corsham Secondary School in Wiltshire.

A 68-year-old man from Yatton Keynell, Wiltshire, has been sentenced today to an indeterminate sentence for public protection and he will have to serve a minimum of seven years’ imprisonment before being eligible for parole. This was for the rape of a 12-year-old boy and inciting him to engage in sexual activity.
