Psychic Karl Lang guilty of sex offences

A Newport psychic who targeted two vulnerable women and convinced them to perform sex acts, has been found guilty at Newport Crown Court.
Karl Lang was convicted of 12 counts of causing women to engage in sexual activity without consent.
The court heard that Lang targeted the women, who had approached him in the belief that he could contact dead relatives. He then duped them into believing that carrying out sex acts would boost their spiritual powers.
David Watts, Senior Crown Prosecutor for the Crown Prosecution Service in Wales, said: "This was a very unusual case involving the cynical exploitation of these young women.
"Karl Lang preyed on his victims in a callous and underhand manner. He targeted them at times in their lives when they were at their most vulnerable.
"Each of Lang's victims has shown tremendous courage in coming forward and reporting what happened to them. We hope that today's verdict will provide them with some measure of comfort."
