Bleddyn Rees King charged after Pentyrch murder
The 18-year-old man arrested on suspicion of the murder of David Evans at Pentyrch, near Cardiff has now been charged.
Paul Hewitt, Senior Crown Prosecutor for CPS Cymru-Wales, said: "The Crown Prosecution Service has been working closely alongside South Wales Police as their investigation into this murder has progressed.
"We can now confirm that, having carefully examined a file of evidence provided by South Wales Police, we have concluded that there is sufficient evidence to charge Bleddyn Rees King with the murder of David Evans and that it is in the public interest to do so. Accordingly, we have advised South Wales Police to charge him.
"The defendant will appear at Cardiff Magistrates Court on Monday 30 January.
"The victim's family have been informed of our decision by the police and we hope to be able to meet with them soon to explain the trial process and answer any questions they may have.
"Bleddyn Rees King now stands charged with an extremely serious criminal offence and has the right to a fair trial. It is extremely important that nothing should be published that could prejudice his trial."
