Serving People, Serving Justice
Welcome to the website of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in Thames Valley.
Serving the communities of Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, through Area Headquarters and a branch office in Reading, and branch offices in Oxford and Aylesbury.
CPS Thames Valley works closely with Thames Valley Police providing advice on lines of enquiry, reviewing evidence on cases for possible prosection and determining the charge in all but routine and minor cases. Criminal offences are prosected by the CPS in the 15 magistrates' court centres and 3 Crown Court centres in the Area.
The aim of this website is to make the criminal justice system more open and accessible to the people it serves and I hope it provides you with the information you want about our work.
