CPS Thames Valley works closely with Thames Valley Police providing advice on lines of enquiry, reviewing evidence on cases for possible prosection and determining the charge in all but routine and minor cases.  Criminal offences are prosected by the CPS in the 15 magistrates' court centres and 3 Crown Court centres in the Area.

The aim of this website is to make the criminal justice system more open and accessible to the people it serves and I hope it provides you with the information you want about our work.

Mike Tindall, the England and Gloucester rugby player, has today received a three-year driving ban after being found to be over the legal alcohol limit.

CPS decides not to refer hunting cases to House of Lords

The Crown Prosecution Service has decided not to appeal to the House of Lords following a judgement on two hunting cases made in the High Court, which included clarification of the term "hunts" in the Hunting Act 2004.
