Learning and development
We actively encourage all of our staff to undergo further training and professional development. Training is provided both locally and nationally or through courses held externally. There are opportunities for staff to develop their legal skills and qualify to become associate prosecutors and Crown Advocates as well as being supported through a wide range of externally recognised qualifications.
In-house development opportunities for lawyers are accredited by the Law Society and the Bar Council for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) purposes. The CPS also has a leading edge e-learning system which enables staff to take advantage of technology to develop their knowledge and skills at their own pace. The CPS is also committed to the Investors in People programme.
