Working for the CPS in Thames and Chiltern

Nationally the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) employs around 8800 staff across England and Wales; over 92% of whom are engaged in, or support, frontline prosecutions.

Within the CPS Thames and Chiltern region, we employ a total of 412 staff. In Berkshire, we employ 104 staff, in Oxfordshire, 72, in Buckinghamshire 56, in Hertfordshire we employ 112 and in Bedfordshire we employ 68 staff.

CPS Thames and Chiltern has offices in Reading, Cowley, Aylesbury, St Albans, Stevenage, Luton and Bedford. Prosecutors can also be based in charging centres within police stations throughout the five counties.
