CPS lawyer, Neil Vaughan, from the Thames and Chiltern Daytime Charging Unit, said: 'I can confirm that I have advised charging a 14-year-old male from Southend with attempted murder, following an incident at a property in Linslade, Leighton Buzzard on 30 April, in which a 34-year-old male received stab wounds to his neck. The victim had to undergo extensive surgery in hospital. Thankfully, he has survived this ordeal.'
