Woman jailed for distraction burglary - Oxford

An Oxford woman who stole money from a 63-year-old man during a distraction burglary has been jailed for three years and six months.
Janet Lestrade, aged 43, of Balfour Road, Blackbird Leys, was found guilty of the offence by a jury following a trial. She was sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on Thursday, 17 January 2013.
The offence happened at around 1.15pm on Friday, 20 July 2012.
Lestrade called at the victim;s house in Trefoil Place, Greater Leys, and pretended to be interested in his art work. When she was invited inside she stole a wallet containing 100 Euros.
