Woman charged with murder - Banbury

Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge a woman with murder.

Natasha Capell, aged 26, from Jubilee Court, Banbury, was charged on Friday evening, 17 April 2015, with murder.

The charge is in relation to the death of Kyle Byfield, aged 23, from Banbury, who was found in Jubilee Court, Banbury, on the morning of Thursday, 16 April 2015, with puncture wounds.  He was taken to Horton General Hospital where he died of his injuries later that day.

Adrian Foster, Chief Crown Prosecutor for Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said: "Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a file was forwarded to us to consider whether any criminal charges could be brought against Natasha Capell.

"Having carefully reviewed all of the available evidence, Thames and Chiltern CPS authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge the woman with murder.

"The charge is in relation to the death of 23-year-old Kyle Byfield, who died at Horton General Hospital on Thursday, 16 April 2015.

"The decision to charge was taken in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors."

Capell was remanded in police custody to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court on Saturday, 18 April 2015.  She will appear at Oxford Crown Court tomorrow, Tuesday, 21 April 2015, for a preliminary hearing.
