Woman charged with attempted murder - Tilehurst

Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge a 32-year-old woman with attempted murder.

Jane Rogers, from Tilehurst, has been charged with the attempted murder of a 13-year-old boy, following an incident at a property in Tilehurst, which occurred just before 6am on Friday, 24 May.

The boy was taken to hospital, but discharged the same day. 

Rogers was also taken to hospital for treatment where she remained until yesterday, Wednesday, 29 May 2013, when she was taken into custody at Reading police station and charged with attempted murder.

Rogers was remanded in police custody and is due to appear before Reading Magistrates' Court today, Thursday, 30 May 2013.
