Two teenagers charged with murder - Slough

Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge two teenagers following a murder in Slough.

Khianni Gordon, aged 18, of High Wycombe, and Kaneel Huggins, aged 18, of High Wycombe, have both been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

The charges are in connection with the murder of 18-year-old Wa-ays Dhaye, from Slough, in Thurston Road, Slough on Monday, 31 August.

Adrian Foster, Chief Crown Prosecutor for Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said: "Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a file was forwarded to us to consider whether any criminal charges could be brought against these two teenagers.

"Having carefully reviewed all of the available evidence, Thames and Chiltern CPS authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge both teenagers with murder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

"The charges are in connection with the murder of 18-year-old Wa-ays Dhaye, from Slough, in Thurston Road, Slough on Monday, 31 August.

"The decision to charge was taken in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors."

Both teenagers have been remanded in police custody and are due to appear at Slough Magistrates' Court today, Monday, 07 September 2015.

Criminal proceedings are active and defendants have the right to a fair trial. It is extremely important that there should be no commentary or reporting which could in any way prejudice these proceedings.
