Two men charged in connection with murder - High Wycombe

Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge two men in connection with the murder of a woman in High Wycombe.

Ahsan Hassan, aged 28, of Dashwood Avenue, High Wycombe, has been charged with murder.

Usman Ansar, aged 40, also of Dashwood Avenue, High Wycombe, has been charged with assisting an offender.

The charges are in connection with an incident, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, 19 September 2016, at a property in Dashwood Avenue, High Wycombe where a woman, believed to be 20-year-old Zofia Sadowska, was found dead.

Adrian Foster, Chief Crown Prosecutor for Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said: "Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a file was forwarded to us to consider whether any criminal charges could be brought against Ahsan Hassan and Usman Ansar.

"Having carefully reviewed all of the available evidence, Thames and Chiltern CPS authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge Ahsan Hassan with murder and Usman Ansar with assisting an offender.

"The charges are in connection with an incident, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, 19 September 2016, at a property in Dashwood Avenue, High Wycombe where a woman, believed to be 20-year-old Zofia Sadowska, was found dead.

"The decision to charge was taken in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors."

Both men have been remanded in police custody to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court this morning, Thursday, 22 September 2016.
