Twelve charged after football disorder - Luton

Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised officers from Bedfordshire Police to charge twelve men with public order related offences in connection with incidents which took place following the FA Cup 5th Round tie between Luton and Millwall at Kenilworth Road on 16 February 2013.

Prior to kick-off there was a short stand-off between police and a minority of fans in the areas of Dudley Street and Old Bedford Road. Following the game a number of incidents took place in the town centre.

The following people have been charged and will appear before Luton Magistrates' Court today, Wednesday, 14 August 2013:

  • Christopher FOWLER, aged 36, of Chantry Avenue, Kempston - charged with Affray.
  • Benjamin CURRINGTON, aged 25, of Clifton Road, Shefford - charged with Affray.
  • Liam JONES, aged 26, of Chapel Street, Luton - charged with Sec 5 Public Order, and being drunk and disorderly.
  • Nicky SANDERS, aged 21, of Whipperly Way, Luton - charged with Affray.
  • Ben SMITH, aged 25, of Williams Way, Flitwick - charged with being drunk and disorderly.
  • Daniel O'KEEFE, aged 19, of Aldbanks, Dunstable - charged with Sec 5 Public Order.
  • Tyrone FUGE, aged 39, of Lowther Road, Dunstable - charged with Affray.
  • Aaron TIMMS, aged 19, of Stewartby Way, Stewartby - charged with Sec 5 Public Order.
  • Grant MITCHELL, aged 19, of Parys Road, Luton - charged with Sec 5 Public Order.
  • Joshua PLUMB, aged 19, of St Leonards Street, Bedford - charged with Sec 5 Public Order.
  • Kevin DAVIS, aged 33, of Queensdale Crescent, London - charged with Sec 5 Public Order.
  • Thomas HOWSON, aged 19, of Mentmore Crescent, Dunstable - charged with Sec 5 Public Order.
